World-Class Quantum Experts

At nodeQ, we bring together a team of top-tier experts, including leaders in quantum communication and computing, with years of experience at the forefront of academic and industrial innovation.

Prof Stefano Pirandola (Rome 'La Sapienza', MIT, York) is internationally recognised for his pioneering contributions to quantum networking, with more than 200 scientific publications. Among his major achievements, Prof. Pirandola discovered the ultimate capacity limits of quantum communication channels and developed foundational tools for routing optimisation in both quantum-resistant and fully quantum networks. He is the recipient of the 2025 IET Achievement Medal in Quantum Technology, awarded by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET).

Prof Sam Braunstein (Melbourne, Caltech, York) is one of the pioneers of quantum information, with about 40 thousand citations. Among his many contributions, Prof Braunstein introduced high-rate (continuous-variable) protocols for quantum communications, quantum teleportation networks, entanglement distribution, quantum computing for bosonic devices, and quantum error correction.
